Content is probably the most important factor
in search engine positioning. Quantity, quality and relevance dictate
your potential of high ranking on search engines. A simple-looking
web site with interesting, up-to-date information will always rank
higher than an equivalent site with great design but poor content.
Information-rich web pages, with as much original content as possible
is therefore the cornerstone of sound search engine marketing.
We will therefore look at the overall content of your site and
verify it is suitable for submission to search engines. One the
concern is that some of the marketing text or relevant information
is presented in a form that may be overlooked by robots, such as
promoting a product only through animated pictures or other interactive
presentation. Beyond copy there are many HTML components used by
search robots to rank your pages, such as so-called Header tags,
invisible items needed by search engines to evaluate your pages:
Title: 5-10 words with the company name and keywords
Description: similar to the meta name description or longer
Meta name description: 20-40 words including strategic keywords
Meta name keywords: a keyword list up to 900 characters
Optional meta tags
JavaScript tags (e.g. mouseover tag)
